The Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Science Fiction and Horror Project teams—24 of them, all within 100 miles of Pittsburgh—charged through the first weekend of October, making a short film within 48 hours.
In support of local filmmaking, the Theater is again a sponsor of the Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Project and will present the work of these regional creatives on the big screen on Monday, Oct. 25, in two different, no-repeat showings, at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. If you’re looking to follow a specific filmmaker, the participants are listed on the 48 Hour Film Project’s website, where you can purchase tickets for $11.48.

Those attending will be able to hear filmmaker talkbacks directly after films and vote for the Audience Choice and winners will be determined, with awards presented at an online ceremony on Friday, Oct 29. The top films could earn the opportunity to participate in the international Filmapalooza in Washington, D.C., next year.
