A Sensory Friendly Captain Marvel Will Arrive March 16 at The Tull Family Theater

WHAT: The Marvel Universe’s landmark film, Captain Marvel, is arriving with its first solo female commander as well as its first female director.

With the anticipation among Marvel Universe fans skyrocketing, The Tull Family Theater will offer this film as a sensory friendly screening so that children, adults and families impacted by autism and other special needs might join in the action.

The Theater’s inclusive low-sensory screenings use the industry’s best practices to minimize stimuli:

  • Dim house lights will remain on
  • The film volume will be lowered
  • A screening room door will remain open.

For the seating of the film and most of the 2-hour 4 minute- run-time, the sensory friendly screening will be the only activity in the Theater. Staffing levels will be increased to allow a personalized experience for filmgoers.

Through families impacted by special needs, the Theater has learned that low-sensory screenings are seldom available to those living north and west of Pittsburgh.

For the remainder of the year, sensory friendly screenings will be regularly offered through the support made available through the generosity of the A.J. and Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust, the Thomas Marshall Foundation and the Sewickley Valley Community Fund.

WHEN: Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m.

WHERE: The Tull Family Theater, 418 Walnut St., Sewickley, PA  15143

TICKETS: General Admission, $11; Discounted to $8.75 for children 10 and younger, seniors 65 and older, college students and military with ID. Discount price available for groups of 10 or more, via arrangements with the Theater.
