The top priority of The Tull Family Theater is to fulfill its mission. Rentals provide a secondary financial support for film-driven programming. Because the Theater does not have a dedicated events coordinator, expect a response to your request within 72 hours.

  • $450 2 hr rental
  • 169 seats, including 5 wheelchair accessible spaces and 6 companion seats
  • 34 X 14 foot, 3 inch screen
  • 37 x 67 foot room

Limited Availability: Because of distributors’ requirements, screening room availability is very limited. MONDAY is the most flexible day for screening room rentals; some Tuesday and Wednesday slots are available, as well as extremely limited Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Rentals provide:

Microphone and podium ○ Basic services of projectionist and audio technician ○ 4K projection ○ JBL 7.1 Surround Sound ○ Concessions availability ○ Closed Captioning and Assistive Listening Devices availability

Copyright Concerns: As a licensed exhibitor, the Theater stringently enforces copyright regulations. The unlicensed screenings of DVDs are not permitted, as it could subject the Theater to severe penalties, including loss of its exhibitor license.

  • If you own rights to the film: At least two weeks in advance (is this enough time???) of the event, documentation must be provided, along with the film formatted as a DCP (preferred), Blu Ray or DVD.
  • If you wish the Theater to procedure a film: It can do so at market price plus booking fees, which vary for each film.

Technical fees: The Theater charges $50-$150 for technical services beyond a basic introduction (such as a talkback, panel or Q&A session, depending on complexity and staff involvement).

Promotional materials: The renter/sponsoring organization must submit all promotional and publicity copy to the Theater for review before it is distributed.
Tickets: The renter is responsible for handling ticket purchases online and/or at the door.

Legalities and Safety Measures: Event insurance is required for any event of 75 or more people. This can be a rider on an individual’s homeowner insurance or an organization’s policy. Details are in the contract.

If alcohol is served, event insurance will be required, regardless of the number of attendees. Beer, wine and spirits must be served by a licensed bartender, which can be obtained through the companies listed on the Theater’s Preferred Caterer list.

Glass, glitter and balloons are not permitted in the screening rooms.

Pricing is subject to change, but will be honored for all events under contract.

Your event is considered under contract and your date is secure only after the Theater has received payment in full via check; proof of event insurance (if needed); and a signed contract.

  • $600 4 hr event – 76 to 200 people, plus proof of event insurance
  • Nonprofits eligible for 20% discount
  • Rent both a screening room and the Community Room at the same time to receive a $50 discount
  • Cleaning Fee: $25 to $200, due one week after the event, depending on the number of people, timely removal of catering equipment and other belongings, the impact of food and drink, and the state of the room. Due one week after the event

Food and Drink: All rentals are limited to Theater concessions or catered food from our Preferred Caterers, which have Health Department certificates on file.  No food can be prepared by unlicensed individuals in uninspected facilities.  The only exception is birthday/wedding cake.

Decorating: Renters are responsible for decorating. Nothing is to be hung on the walls. Glitter is not permitted in the Theater, but balloons are allowed.
