Sensory Friendly Screenings

What is a sensory friendly screening?

An adaptive sensory friendly screening offers the option for families, children and adults impacted by autism and other special needs to watch films together at The Tull Family Theater.

This inclusive low-sensory screening uses the industry’s best practices to minimize stimuli:

  • Dim house lights will remain on
  • The film volume will be lowered
  • A screening room door will remain open.

Staffing levels will allow for a personalized experience for filmgoers.

Offering sensory friendly screenings is one way the Theater fulfills its mission to strengthen educational, entertainment and cultural experiences in the region with an inclusive mindset.

In 2019, these screenings are made possible through the support of the A.J. and Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust, the Thomas Marshall Foundation, the Sewickley Valley Community Fund and Lincoln Learning Solutions.

Discounted admissions are available for groups of 10 or more; please contact hello@thetullfamilytheater.org for details.
